All participants in the Artist Alley must have a valid Texas State Sales Tax permit in order to sell their merchandise at the convention. You must have your Tax ID by the time of the convention.

The participant must be able to present this permit and a photo ID at any time during the convention in order to comply with state law.

All items sold within the artist alley must be made by the participant. Reselling of licensed merchandise is not allowed (that's what the Dealer's Room is for!).

The artist or artisan is not strictly bound to their table and is free to move about the convention as they please, but you must be on-site and reachable by staff during convention hours in case of an emergency. Koya-Con cannot be held responsible for any of your property that is lost, stolen, or damaged while you are away from your table and we highly recommend having a friend (or friends) help you man your table if you want to spend any length of time away from it during the convention.

For security reasons, weapons (as defined by the convention's weapon policy) will not be allowed for sale in the Artist Alley. Even if you are the artisan, you will need to purchase a space in the Dealer's Room in order to sell weapons at the convention.

If a table is being shared by multiple people, every artist must be able to produce their own Texas State Sales Tax permit and photo ID at any time during the convention.

Artists may only sign up for one table. Up to two artists may combine tables with explicit permission granted by the Artist Alley staff BEFORE the convention.

All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Restrictions on goods and services:

Items that are not permissible for sale in the Artist Alley include: bootlegged merchandise, weapons (as defined by the convention's weapon policy), and food.

Photography services are not permitted in the Artist Alley.

While we do permit the sale of material intended for mature viewers, we ask that any products that fit this description are hidden from your main display and appropriately censored when shown to customers. The Artist Alley staff reserves the right to ask any artist to remove, hide, or censor any material that may be considered inappropriate.

Anyone found selling adult material to customers under the age of 18 will be asked to leave the convention without the privilege of a first warning.

All content and merchandise displayed or sold at this event must be legal by definition of state and federal laws. Any artist who is found breaking this rule will also be asked to leave the convention without the privilege of a first warning.

Display Requirements:

Your products and display must stay within your designated space at all times and tables are not to be moved except with explicit permission from the Artist Alley staff.

Displays can be a maximum of 8 feet tall and must be stable. They cannot overflow into the aisle or into another artist's space.

There will be a default of 1 chair per table.

A maximum of four people are allowed behind an artist's table at any given time.

Please ensure that the back of your display does not disrupt the display of an artist behind you.

Be kind to your fellow artists. Any attempt to infringe on another artist's ability to do business will not be tolerated.

Music cannot be played in the Artist Alley.

**Our Artist Alley enforces a One Warning policy. If an offense is committed after the first warning has been given (even if the offense is different from the one that elicited the initial warning), the Artist Alley staff reserves the right to dismiss and/or ban any artist from this and future events for repeated rule-breaking (based on the severity of the infraction[s]). In cases of extreme or illegal offenses, the Artist Alley staff reserves the right to dismiss and/or ban any artist from this and future events without a first warning.**

Absentees:

In the event that a registered Artist is not present at the convention, no refund will be possible.
