Convention Alley

Convention Alley tables are complimentary tables issued to Fandom conventions in the Texas area and Non-Profit 501(c)3 Groups. Events or fan groups can request tables in our Convention Alley to promote their events/groups only. Each designated space comes with an 6 ft table and 2 chairs. No sales of goods/services besides official event merchandise. Up to four (4) Complimentary passes will be issued. Fandom Conventions must have an announced 2016 date and location before applying for the Koya-Con Convention Alley.


  • Koya-Con reserves the right to consolidate multiple table requests and badge requests based on space availability from any group which run multiple conventions in a calendar year.
  • Fan groups or fan conventions who are under the same umbrella, even if other people run it, will be considered one organization and will be consolidated based on convention space.

Convention Alley Rules:

  • All groups in Convention Alley may only distribute promotional material or literature that is representative to their group.
  • All groups in Convention Alley may only sell promotional materials that is directly connected to the representing group. This includes pre-registrations, convention/club t-shirts and correlated promotional materials of the representing group. NOTICE: A Texas Sales Tax ID must be present or on-hand to show that the group is allowed to sell pre-registrations. Groups may be asked to present a Sales Tax ID for verification.
  • All representing groups, upon check-in, must show a consorted effort to promote their representing group at Koya-Con (minimum 6 hours per day). Any group that does not setup or display advertising within Convention Alley of their representing group upon receiving their complimentary badges will have their badges revoked and denied any future complimentary badges & tables from ALL future Koya-Con events.
  • Representing groups that signup who are not able to attend must e-mail Koya-Con prior to the start of the convention. No-Shows who do not e-mail us for the reason of their non-appearance risk not being allowed into Convention Alley for future events.
  • ALL groups in Convention Alley are forbidden from the following:
    • Selling ANY retail merchandise, non-affiliated group/organization t-shirts, pre-printed non-affiliated group/organization artwork or non-affiliated group/organization pre-printed badges even if all proceeds go to a charity organization.
    • Offering a service or activity to attendees that requests tips or charge for the service.
    • Hold a paid lottery or paid raffle.
    • Can not sell any food or food-related items at all due to an exclusivity contract with the Midland County Horseshoe & Arena.
    • Play loud music to attract attendees to the table.

All groups must adhere to the listed rules. One warning will be issued if a group breaks any of the listed rules. If a second warning is issued, the group will be asked to leave Koya-Con, all complimentary badges will be revoked and the group will denied any future requests for a complimentary table. If a group would like to sell merchandise or offer an activity that is forbidden within Convention Alley then they may inquire with Koya-Con on purchasing a Sponsorship booth, or a Dealer Booth.
